San Juan, Portorico

The captain opened the bow of the ship and we had the chance to watch the majestic fort of El Morro getting closer and closer. It was breathtaking to see the city walls rising from the ocean, the waves crashing the shores leaving a salty mist in the air.

We docked at noon at the heat of the day it was 28C, in the shade mind you. Sara was hot as soon she left the air conditioned ship and we knew that some frequent cooling off will be required. The clouds in the sky were giving us some hope for a bearable afternoon.

We set off a lovely walk through old San Juan, searching for shade.
